Three-Phase Evolution
Phase 1 — Community Formation
The initial focus is on building a network of users, partners, and developers who integrate DDRC for access and payments.
All governance discussions occur off-chain through open community channels and public documentation.
Phase 2 — Advisory Council (External)
An external council of independent contributors and ecosystem partners may be formed to coordinate open proposals, treasury strategies, and integrations.
All management remains off-chain, ensuring that the DDRC token contract itself stays immutable.
Phase 3 — Full DAO Integration (Optional, External)
When the ecosystem matures, DDRC can be adopted as a governance token inside a separate DAO framework (e.g., Snapshot, Aragon, or custom governance contract).
These DAOs can use DDRC balances for proposal creation, weighted voting, and funding approvals, but this logic is not part of the DDRC smart contract.
How Governance Works (Externally)
-
Proposal Creation
Community members or partner DAOs can submit proposals via external governance platforms.
DDRC balances may be used to define proposal eligibility. -
Discussion & Review
Proposals are discussed openly through community forums, Discord, or Snapshot spaces before any vote is initiated. -
Voting
DDRC tokens can represent voting weight within third-party DAO systems.
No voting logic exists in the DDRC contract. -
Execution
Once approved, outcomes are executed through independent treasury or multisig systems operated by DAO contributors — not through DDRC itself.
Governance Infrastructure (External Tools)
Snapshot Voting
Off-chain voting that reads DDRC balances directly from the blockchain for community proposals.
-
Gas-free voting
-
Transparent vote weights
Gnosis Safe / Multi-Sig
External wallet infrastructure for treasury and proposal execution.
-
Requires multiple signers
-
Adds decentralization and accountability
On-Chain DAO Contracts (Optional)
For projects that choose to extend DDRC utility, on-chain DAO logic can be deployed independently.
-
Treasury spending control
-
Proposal execution automation
DAO Responsibilities (External Frameworks)
-
Treasury Management – Allocate DDRC for grants, ecosystem partnerships, and development incentives.
-
Ecosystem Development – Fund new integrations, reward contributors, and expand platform adoption.
-
Community Grants – Support creators, educators, and builders through transparent reward structures.
-
Governance Evolution – Maintain and upgrade community governance infrastructure (not the DDRC contract).
Participate in Governance
DDRC holders can join governance platforms that integrate DDRC as a participation token.
They may:
-
Hold & Vote on Snapshot or DAO proposals.
-
Propose new community initiatives.
-
Delegate their DDRC voting weight to trusted representatives.
(All governance actions occur externally. The DDRC smart contract remains immutable, non-admin, and without built-in DAO functions.)
